Who?: This program is open to any CAIS educator

Fee: $125

What can you expect from the POV?

As a member of a POV cohort, you will:

  • Join a group of 8-10 educators interested in learning more about different schools.

  • Visit 2 schools during the school year with distinctly different missions and profiles

    • You will visit two different schools, based on your preference, which you’ll note during the registration process. The preference you’ll select are: includes a lower school; includes a middle school; includes an upper school; includes boarding component, or no preference).

  • Spend a half-day at each school (approximately 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM), starting with a welcome coffee and ending with lunch provided by the host school.

  • Participate in conversation with educators at the host school, including those who share your role.

  • Observe a combination of classes, assemblies, panels, and special programs.

  • Grow your network of peers and resources.

And, new this year, host schools will provide one-hour of “open campus,” which will give you an opportunity to visit classrooms and other spaces of interest to you that the school makes available.

Participation would entail:

  • A recognition that the schools will be spread out across the state and may involve an atypical commute

  • A commitment to the schools to attend both school visits.

Before you register using the link below, please remember:

  • Registrants will commit to a duo of school visits (one in the fall, one in the winter). You must be able to commit to both dates that you select.

  • Schools are initially asked to limit participation to 5 educators to ensure a range of CAIS schools have access to the opportunity, so please coordinate accordingly with your school.

  • Participants will not learn which two schools they will visit until October 3.

  • Please confirm with your immediate supervisor that you are able to be absent from school on any of the dates you select.

  • Visit dates:

    • Tuesday, 10/28

    • Wednesday, 11/5

    • Thursday, 11/6

    • *Thursday, 2/5

    • *Friday, 2/6

    • *Tuesday, 2/10

**If there is a snow day on any of the February dates, your host school will coordinate a new visit date.

Space is limited - this program had a waitlist last year.
*Participation is limited to CAIS member school educators.
Registration closes on September 26.
